Student mental health remains a pressing concern for Virginia school divisions. While schools have invested in counseling and support services, many students still face barriers to care, including limited resources, long wait times, transportation challenges, and a lack of support outside the school day.
Join VASS and our partner, Uwill, for a discussion on the state of student mental health in Virginia, the gaps that continue to exist, and how school divisions are finding new ways to connect students with care.
Drawing on national and Virginia-specific data, Uwill’s clinical experience, and real-world examples from Virginia school divisions, this session will explore how teletherapy and 24/7 mental health support can complement existing school resources, expand access to licensed clinicians, and help students receive care when and where they need it.
Attendees will leave with practical insights into how school divisions can strengthen their mental health programs and better support students throughout the school year, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and school breaks.
Date: Thursday, October 29
