- Include some information about business as relevant but ensure that webinar is about a relevant educational topic, not about the business or service provided by the business.
- Share who in Virginia you currently serve.
Frequently asked questions
- Can businesses also promote the webinar?
- Yes, but please use the original VASS website and registration post. Businesses do not need to create a separate communication.
- Can businesses provide experts from outside of Virginia?
- Yes, but ensure that the content is relevant to Virginia superintendents and school divisions. A best practice is having a Virginia school division present with you.
- How soon does VASS need the webinar details?
- VASS needs the title and brief description one month before the webinar in order to give the webinar enough exposure and time for school leaders to plan their attendance. If the title and description are not ready a month in advance, we can reschedule the webinar for another date.
- How is a VASS co-hosted webinar different from a business partner sharing their own webinar through VASS channels?
- A VASS co-hosted webinar follows the steps and procedures listed above in the “Good to Know” checklist.
- The webinar is promoted as a VASS event rather than a Partner Sponsored event in the newsletter and on the VASS website.
- The webinar is shared in the VASS webinar library.
- The webinar includes both the VASS logo and the business logo.
- VASS manages registration, promotion, and initial communication in a consistent way with other VASS events.
- However, if a business prefers to host a webinar in a different way, such as creating, marketing, and promoting through their own channels, VASS will help promote the webinar in line with the benefits listed in the Member Benefits Chart.
